Goddess Dances of Universal Peace
APRIL 11th
Friday 6-7:30pm
Suggested Donation: $9-$18

In Dances of Universal Peace,
We experience the Unity of spiritual Ideals, dancing together in a circle with live music.

In Goddess Dances,
the dances are all about goddesses.

Raising energy in our own bodies, united with other bodies, praising together the many ways the divine feminine, the divine trans, and the divine queer beautify life. We lift up the Goddess/es this Friday because the world still needs to re-balance in word and in action what we honor. And because our hearts call us to celebrate Her.
(Divine masculine, we love you too! And we know you are in all of us, and want to be in harmony with us, and can act as an ally-accomplice for shared visions.)

Dancing together can be a prayer for justice and peace, an enactment of our willpower and commitment to keep living how we are best called to live- perhaps in authentic, reflective, mutually supportive, and catalyzing relationships. We amplify our strength for this journey by joining in collective song.

All genders and bodies welcome. Simple dances and songs are taught and adaptations welcome.

Description from www.DancesofUniversalPeace.org:

"Spiritual practice brings us face to face with Life and Truth, prior to the concepts and beliefs of the person, opening to our true nature - authentic, unguarded, beyond form and imbued with the spaciousness and love that connects all.
The Dances of Universal Peace and Walking Concentrations are spiritual practice in motion. Drawing on the sacred phrases, scripture, and poetry of the many spiritual traditions of the earth, the Dances blend chant, live music and evocative movement into a living experience of unity, peace and integration. This taste of our true nature - as Universal Peace - opens to the possibility of a deep spiritual revolution within the person."
